The Slow Mo Guys: All Things Audio Visual (In Slow Motion)

Thursday morning we were looking on our YouTube channel at our latest product video we had uploaded for the soundmaster RCD1770 Portable FM / DAB Radio CD Player.

Then up popped at the side a recommended video of The Slow Mo Guys filming paint 'jumping' in a speaker.

Needless to say, the first hour in the office this morning was essentially lost as we all huddled around one screen to watch that and even more of their enthralling videos out there on the Internet.

For those who don't know about The Slow Mo Guys, they are a young British duo called Gavin Free and Daniel Gruchy, and they film things in slow motion (if you hadn't already guessed from their channel name...).

They've been on YouTube since 2010, and use Phantom digital high-speed cameras to capture all the action, and with their YouTube channel now having over nine and a half MILLION subscribers, they are one of the most popular channels on the site - and put simply, a couple of awesome dudes!

Gavin has also worked on a number of high-profile projects on the small and big screen using slow motion footage - Top Gear and Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows are among his working credits.

After the sixth video though this morning, we had to stop and get back on with work, but we decided to get Rob in the BuyCleverStuff office to put together a YouTube playlist of The Slow Mo Guys' best audio visual slow-motion videos.

So if you have the next hour to spend doing nothing, then why not watch these fellas in action destroying CDs, using speakers incorrectly, and mesmerising you with AV in a way that you did not think was possible...we don't recommend doing this with your purchases from us though.

In fact, we suggest you do not try any of this at home - especially as some videos from The Slow Mo Guys on the playlist are EXTREMELY dangerous (shards of CDs are not nice at all in the face - we assume?).

Don't forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel!
